Charging the Bille
Reclamation of an industrial site in Hamburg, Germany and reconnecting it with the water and surrounding community. Public space is often situated at the level of the street while the rest of the building remains closed to the public. By elevating the public program along a ramp that travels throughout the buildings visitors have the ability to experience the project starting from the street level all the way to being elevated above the Bille River. With the addition of public transportation not only at the train but at the water level as well makes the site accessible to the public and will start to cultivate and bring the strong German culture to an area that is otherwise overlooked.
